I honestly was completely and fully expecting the music to cut out right as "Generic Anime Kid" was about to get the game and the Gamestop clerk saying, "Do you have a pre-order?" much to the kids torment.
It's a shame GS sucks so much these days. :\
Anyways... great job and concept!

Wow... very well done on synching the amusing dubs.
While the voices weren't at all what I was expecting the whole thing altogether was very amusing... Great job.. :)
Author's Response:
The voices aren't allowed to fit the characters too well... such is traditionnnnnn!

I can understand what you're trying to do here. Overall it's a positive message of finding alternative energy sources, but your portrayal of the US. vs Europe and the facts provided is somewhat one-sided.
For starters you provided seperate information for each country. Germany this much. France this much. BUT YOU FAILED to mention that the US is larger than those countries mentioned COMBINED. It's hardly a fair comparison.
You also didn't comment on the several different US organizations already tryin' to promote and implement these changes. Perhaps you should provide links to those sources instead of just saying, "PLZ hALP t3h 3aRTHS, K?"
But other than that I DO WHOLY appreciate the effort you took in making this and trying to promote the message... so...
Author's Response:
For the competition that I entered this in before, I needed to compare two communities, and Europe and the US, were the one's I chose. If you read the conclusion, I simply state that the European Union (various countries) are each doing good things, and that we can learn from them, not that we are not doing anything to prevent pollution. If you want the links, I'll put them in at the end...

"Decent Concept... Poorly Executed"
The premise of this could have been hilarious had you not supplemented it with very crudely drawn animations and sub-par voice acting. Fortunately it wasn't wholly unwatchable so I'll warrant it a 4.

Very well put, I could feel my blood boiling just thinking about it. Unfortunately all those scenarios don't just apply to crowded buses, it's just one of many unholy cesspools for them to all congregate in one place. And when you have that many soul stealing, life draining, sanity crushing conducers all in one place... it gets electric. As in... 50,000 volts to your balls. Good flash man.

While probably not to the tastes of everyone, I did find this animation rather humorous. Some snappy one liners and just amusing subject matter in general helped keep this movie alive, despite the so-so animation, although the static outline was a neat effect. Overall I think it's deserving of some recognition.
Author's Response:
Dude, I don't know if you ment to, but that first comment about taste, dealing with a flash about swallowing sperm... pure gold!

I decided to go ahead and give this game a chance, as per your suggestion. And you were correct, it did take a significant amount of tries to get the hang of it, but eventually I did, and have grown quite wealthy simply by letting my assets grow while browsing the internet, then returning to restructure.
The overall game mechanics work well enough, though can get irritating if you build tall structures up front like hotels, making it troublsome to demolish and rebuild other structures. The whole game is amusing, but there appears to be no conclusion. Also, the wars improve population, but what exactly does the populous do? Does it affect income/food production rates? The whole thing feels kind of unfinished, a graphic number crunching game, but it did hold my attention for quite some time.
Improve upon the graphics (perhaps simple .jpeg's?, make the build icon appear as the first layer above other structure, give war a purpose and the option to have more building slots, and you may just have something here. But as a first attempt, you did an excellent job.
Author's Response:
Oh no!
Ok, look into this about wars:
Population increase
a) Demands more food
b) Increases tax income
c) Allows for a large icon
The part about the buildings overlapping was solved already by the zone map.
You should read the instructions, if you did, I'm sorry. I encourage EVERYONE to read the instructions.
Thanks for the pretty good review, though.
